The Victorian Lady
|
Let us provide a unique
experience for you and your guest as we create the atmosphere of a bygone
era. You will feel as though you are in the nineteenth century, a
more refined, genteel time when ladies wore some of the most romantic costumes
in history. The social practices of the period were the essence of
civility with the endearing quality of being, perhaps, just a touch
highbrow.
J'Nean and Kim will demonstrate the customs and etiquette practiced by The Victorian Lady. They will explore the charming ways in which fans and parasols were used to convey subtle, coquettish messages. Calling Cards were used, like most things in this era, according to formal protocol, and this too will be explored. Victorian clothing and hats from the 1854 to 1912 styles will be modeled and the history of each dress will be presented. J'Nean and Kim will attend your function dressed in appropriate attire, and will design the demonstration to fit your needs. This would be a delightful alternative to the usual business or social gathering, bridal shower, or fund raiser. We would be pleased to help you discover "The Victorian Lady Within." ~Fashion Shows~ J'Nean and Kim will present a living history of The Victorian Lady, her fashions and customs.
